Residents and recruiters agree: when looking for a job, the more questions you ask, the better. Besides salary and other reimbursement issues, the experts say to pay particular attention to the financial aspects of a practice. This will tell you about a practice's stability and how much room there is for growth.

2.) Who pays relocation expenses?
3.) What types of benefits are offered (401K, pension plan, profit-sharing)?
4.) What is the cost for a buy-in?
5.) When are evaluations performed?
6.) Are there any bonus plans or productivity incentives?
7.) Does the practice reimburse for continuing medical education?
8.) Does the practice give time off for C.M.E.?
9.) Is there a non-compete clause in the contract?
10.) What are the terms to terminate a contract?
11.) What procedures does the practice perform or not perform?
