NAPR MEMBERS ARE THE INDUSTRY LEADERS

The range of services offered by NAPR members is broad enough to meet the most challenging recruiting needs. Here are just some of the areas in which various NAPR member firms excel:

Physician Search

Practice Brokerage

In addition, many NAPR members can assist you with contract negotiations, contract writing, relocation, partnership assistance, spouse career assistance, development of incentive and compensation packages and follow-up services for assuring that the new physician makes a successful transition into the community.

WHY CHOOSE AN NAPR MEMBER FIRM

NAPR members are committed to identifying qualified physicians based on criteria set by the client.

NAPR member firms subscribe to the highest ethical standards in the physician recruiting industry. The common goal on which the association was founded, and the motivating force behind it today, is each NAPR member's sincere commitment to promote and advance the standards of professional practice.

Each member firm must agree to be bound by an ethics and arbitration process. Any complaint lodged against a member is immediately investigated by the NAPR Ethics Committee, which is composed of peer physician recruiters, who volunteer their time and expertise to maintain industry standards. This system of self-regulation and peer review has been a key factor in the sterling reputation NAPR members continue to enjoy.

Being informed is top priority to NAPR members. By attending specialized educational programs presented through the association, members stay abreast of industry developments, stay attuned to marketplace changes, and increase the knowledge and proficiency of the entire profession.

NAPR member firms are efficient and reliable. The bottom line is that they do the work you expect.

THE NAPR CODE OF ETHICS

In order to comply with the Code of Ethics, members will:

Overall give clients and candidates the best effort.

Make only promises that can be kept by them.

Act in compliance with state and federal laws governing hiring practices.

Be honest in all dealings with clients and candidates. Members will not intentionally mislead a client or candidate.

Refer candidates to a client only when asked to do so.

To the best of their ability, represent themselves honestly to candidate and client.

Honestly represent themselves when courting a new account.

Make public only those claims that can be documented and proven true. Refrain from making claims in promotional literature that seem impossible to fulfill.

Respect clients' needs in a caring but businesslike fashion.

Keep all promises. Follow up on promises made in a search agreement.

Exercise due diligence to discover whether candidates fit the position, presenting only those candidates who appear to fit.

Present only candidates who have been screened by the search firm. Refrain from sending blind curriculum vitaes [CV's] in order to collect a fee for work not done.

Member firms will not recruit from a client for one [1] year after the last placement with them [excluding interns, residents or fellows in training].

Preserve the confidential nature of the search and not breach the confidence of either candidate or client.

Send no curriculum vitaes with applicant knowledge.

Treat other firms fairly. Firms will honor agreements made between them.

Refrain from intentionally misrepresenting another firm to a prospective client.

Deal honesty with fellow recruiters. Members will not try to pirate candidate or client, or candidate or client information, from other firms [i.e.: fee splitting].

This Code of Ethics, adopted by the membership of NAPR, sets standards of ethical behavior for members of the organization. The intent is to deal with ethical behavior. It does not deal with performance standards. It is written to allow for the diversity embodied in NAPR's membership.
